We will observe both Palm Sunday and Passion Sunday on April 14. The Chancel Choir will sing The Seven Last Words of Christ, and Val Williams and Greg Bossert will serve as readers. Church School Just a reminder that there is no church school this Sunday. Please join our inter-generational event in Fellowship Hall! There will be four stations to take part in. One is creating a bracelet or key ring to take home as a remembrance of Holy Week. The other three will result in collaborative works of art to welcome people into our church and to celebrate the joy of Easter. No talent is needed!! Just come and enjoy a time of fun and fellowship with your FCC family. For Palm Sunday, April 14 The church school kids will meet in the narthex before the church service and will lead the Palm Procession into church. There will not be an Activity Table on Sunday in order for our children to enjoy the choir's special music presentation with their families. In addition to the Children's Bulletin, there will be extra activities available on the clipboards. As always, there is child care provided in room 103 for our toddlers and preschool aged children.
Holy Week Schedule Sunday, April 14 - Palm Sunday. No Church School. Join us in Fellowship Hall at 9:00 am for an Intergenerational Gathering. Thursday, April 18 - Maundy Thursday Service, 7 pm, at First Presbyterian Church, 110 Church Ave. Friday, April 19 - Good Friday Service, 12 noon, at St Paul's United Church of Christ, 1250 Leonard Point Rd. Sunday, April 21 - Easter Sunday. No Church School. Join us between 8:30 and 9:45 am for Easter Breakfast and a Celebration of our newly renovated Fellowship Hall. A Blessing of our renovated space will be shared at 8:50 am.
On March 24, the third Sunday in Lent, we will welcome the Rev. Barry Yarbro as guest preacher. Stan Ziblut will serve as reader. Rev. Barry will preach on Luke 4:14-30: We're In the Same Boat Now.

On January 20th, we'll welcome the Chancel Choir back from its one-week hiatus. Ethan Rutz and Shelly Maxwell will serve as readers. Rev. Nancy will preach on Psalm 36:5-10 and John 2:1-11: Glory Be! Church School- The PreK-Kindergarten and Grades 1-3 classes will learn about Mark 5:21-24; 35-43. The story is "Jesus Heals a Young Woman". The students in grades 4-5 will learn a story from Mark. "Jesus Spends Time With God", Mark 1:32-39, will be the focus. The middle school students will ponder the question, "Can someone lose their salvation?" and read Romans 8:38-39. The senior high students will continue their "Peace Project". As always, we have many great activities to get our children and youth engaged in learning and applying these lessons to their world today. Adult Education- Bill Urbrock, retired Professor of Religious Studies at UW-Oshkosh, will lead a discussion of the Old Testament reading for the Second Sunday after the Epiphany, Isaiah 62: "O Jerusalem...You shall be called 'Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.'"

To celebrate Epiphany, the Chancel Choir will present The Three Kings choral cantata. Chris Dempsey and Paul Stellpflug will join the choir as narrators. Ruby Salbego, pianist, and Joanne Peterson, director, will complete the ensemble for The Three Kings. Jim Grine will serve as reader, and we will celebrate communion. Church School returns on Sunday, January 6th at 9:00am In Adult Education at 9:00 am, a group of FCC players (Kay Sanders, Paula Veard, Ron Harrell, Barbara Urbrock, Pastor Nancy Taylor, and Bill Urbrock) will present a dramatic reading of Bill's original play about the Magi, It Was in the Stars. Be ready for laughter and comic surprises!
This Sunday, December 23- 10:00 am This Sunday is the fourth Sunday of Advent. We’ll light all four Advent candles and will ponder the fourth verse of Silent Night. Doug Bord-Pire will serve as reader, and Rev. Nancy will preach on Isaiah 9:6 and Matthew 2:1-12 – A Time to Sing. Church School returns on Sunday, January 6th! On Dec. 23 and Dec. 30, there will be no Church School.
A little peace and beauty in this busy season...
This Sunday, December 16 - 10:00 am Our Sunday morning worship on December 16 will include the children’s Christmas pageant, the Angel Choir, and a time of thanksgiving for Sandie Miller-Schreiter’s 15 years of ministry with FCC’s children and youth. FCC’s annual Cookie Walk and a retirement party in Sandie’s honor will follow. Church School returns on Sunday, January 6th! This Sunday, there are no Church School classes but come at 9:30 am to join in the Christmas pageant. All ages are welcome. On Dec. 23 and Dec. 30, there will be no Church School. Back at Community Emergency Services today. This morning was sorting and organizing food donations. This afternoon we got to help with the food pantry shopping. It was a great day!
7/26....John and Dane trying new tacos...tongue and brain. They shared so each had 1/2 of each taco. You’ll have to ask them about their perceptions.
And....dinner on our own at the Midtown Global Market.
